37 weeks...FULL TERM!!

So I am oficially full term. WOW. That is a scary thought-and its exciting all at once. I had a little chat with Miss Clara this evening and said as soon as I was finished packing my suitcase, she was welcome to come and meet us! We shall see how well she listened soon.

I will post some pics of the nursery-for the most part it is finished. We just have a few frames to hang on the wall...and a couple of other things to put up-but nothing too major. I'm pretty content with what is done. All we need is baby, and I'm sure things will change once she gets here and we see how practical (or not) things are placed. Her diaper bag is packed-with several outfits, socks, headbands, hats...I just don't know what to pack for someone I have never met!

Tomorrow night is our family "girls night." We are going ot get our nails done, eat dinner, and then do what every parent dreams of doing before she has a baby...go to the mall with her eldest daughter to look at dresses for the 8th grade dance. yup. that's right. Bonnie may go to the 8th grade dance. It is all dependant upon when Clara comes, but we are being optimistic and saying she can go until we know otherwise. After the mall, it's off to bed-so I can cry myself to sleep at the fact that I am having a baby and Bonnie is growing up. : )

Saturday the four (and a half) of us are going to try out Adventure Landing in Plano. We wanted to do something fun and different, and we have a few coupons for this place so we figured "why not?" I will post some pics of our weekend adventure this week.

My next appointment is this Wednesday afternoon. I will keep you all posted on our progress (if there is any).

36 Weeks and 5 days

Today I had my first "weekly" check up. Things were going great until I stepped onto the scale...lets not get into how much I have gained. It's just a number-right? Anyway, the Dr. came in and measured my belly and after an little while she decided we needed to do a sonogram. She was not quite sure Clara's head was down. "Yeah!" Jason and I said after the Dr. left the room. So-we got to see Clara again today...this time, we got some pictures in 3-D! We saw her touching her mouth with her hand, we saw her punching me...I think she was more upset that she was being pushed around,we saw her open her mouth and swallow some fluid, stick out her tongue, and even yawn! When the sonographer measured her head, I asked her if she was able to see if she had hair...believe it or not-she said yes! she showed us the top of her head and just around the edges, we could see what can best be described as peach fuzz. But-she's not bald! Horray! Oh, and for those of you who questioned whether or not she was actually a girl...the answer is yes. She is definately a girl! : )

So right now she is weighing in around 6.1 (on the low side) and 7.1 (on the high side). She is healthy and is super active (imagine that)!

Well, Jason just told me I needed to keep it short because not many people would read a lengthy blog post. So just for him, I'm going to keep going.

Tiny acts of service = HUGE blessing for us

Jason and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of service people are willing to give to help make the transition from a family of 4 to a family of 5 a little more manageable. We have had people over to the house to help paint the nursery, girlfriends come over to help organize baby goodies, family over to help pack away old clothes or clothes to grow into and more recently, our friends Clay and Jessica came over Thursday to watch the girls. Now, that may not seem to be too big of a deal, but when you hear the rest of the story-you will see why...

I have been more emotional over the last few weeks than I have over the last several months, and this last Thrusday, I was overwhelmed and super tired. I over course was crying for just about everything that happened (big or small), and felt there was no end to the growing list of "to do's" before school ends and Clara comes. Clay and Jess offered to help but I was not sure how to explain what needed to be done. With no hesitation, they (with the help of Bonnie nad Elena) began cleaning our house (every room) and doing our laundry! We came home to a tidy bedroom with the bed made and the kitchen was clean and smelled great! When I walked back into the bedroom and saw the bed made and everything was put away, I bawled! It was kind of funny-looking back on it now. But, We were so greatful! Then the next day, Jessica came on her day off to do our laundry so that I could work on school stuff and do whatever else I needed to do. She did probably 10-12 loads of laundry (at least), folded it, and put it all away!!!! I know what some of you may be thinking-"yuck! They had that much laundry?" Yes, we did. It was piled high and we were drowning in it! : ) But, Jessica tackled it and made it possible for us to breath again! Thank you so much!!!

For those of you who have come to our rescue over the last several months-Jason and I are eternally grateful! We could not have done any of this prep work without you. Thank you so much!

We are less than 4 weeks away from "D-Day" (Delivery Day) and things are finally feeling like they are coming into order...all except my hormones! Those are out of control right now-and only I can say so! ; )

Only 30 days to be here!

March (In a nut shell)

So we went to New Mexico for Spring Break this year because Jason' Aunt wanted to throw us a shower. We had a really great time visiting with and seeing people we have not see in literally years! We felt so blessed to have all of the people there, and by their generosity. Here are some pics of the shower, and what we did while we were there!

Back Log

So I realize that the last post I did was February 9th.....oops!
Much has happened since then. I guess I should show in pictures like many others do when they have so much to catch up on. This may take a few blog entries to get us caught up to the present day, but I'm sure you won't mind! ; )

Before I add pics, I will start with Valentine's Day. Our good friends Jeremy and Steph kept the girls overnight which allowed Jason and I to go to a hotel and relax before the March madness and April craziness came to be! So-we spent the night at Hotel Intercontinental (got a great rate!), and spent the rest of the time talking and planning for baby and the summer. The girls came home with not one, but three large heart shaped sugar cookies! (Thanks Steph!) ; ) They had a great time with them, as Jason and I did on our time away.

Feb 28th, Jason's parents came into town and Jason, myself, Bonnie, Elena, Grammy (Cindy), Papa C (Curtis), and Josh and Trista (Jason's sister and bro-in law) all went to the King Tut Mueseum. We had a great time, and learned a lot. I would add some pics, but I just learned that the pics I need are on Jason's laptop. Sorry!

That is about it for the month of February...Now I shall start a new post for the month of March. Get ready!
