Not much different - maybe a 9 +1 ???
Doctor came in about 5 to check. She said that she was progressing well, just not as quickly as she first thought. She said that she was about a 9. But she thinks she is face up, which slows things down a little. Maybe another hour or two? Who knows. The baby is stubborn. Not sure who she inherited that from!

Awake from a nap
Laura got a little bit of sleep. She just woke up and the nurse has shifted her around to get that baby moving. She is still around a 7 though.

Epidural is in...
Laura is feeling much better now. She has been such a trooper! She stayed strong through all of the contractions. The epidural is in now and she is feeling good. She is at a 5 now, and things are progressing well.
The water is broke
Doctor just came in and broke Laura's water. Laura says it was the weirdest thing ever!

Clara will be here tomorrow!
We are making the final arrangements, tying up loose ends, and getting packed to head to the hospital! Laura and I will be headed to the hospital at 5:00 am Thursday, May 21 to induce labor. The doctor has recommended that given the baby’s size, it would be best not to wait past the due date. As the doctor said, she is fully “cooked.” So hopefully we will get to meet Clara sometime tomorrow afternoon!
We will be at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.

To induce or not to induce...any suggestions?
So my doctor told us yesterday that she thought it would be a godd idea if we induced on our due date. Why? Well, I have my own specualations. But, according to her because Miss Clara is well on her way to being a little over 8 lbs, she thought it would be harder the longer I waited. Um....Duh! But I don't think I want to induce. My reasons? Well, mostly because having it planned freaks me out! : ) I am a bit more of a spontaneous person, and I always wanted it to surprise me (you know, like they do in the movies). This however, drives Jason nuts-the waiting and uncertainty of when she will arrive. But he is leaving the decision up to my comfort level. Thank you! : )
We are praying for Clara to come on her own before the due date just to prove that God is in control-not the doctor. Can you please pray for that too? As of yesterday I was only at 1.5cm and her head dropped a little. But anything can happen!
On to other things...Bonnie had her opening night of her schoool musical tonight. Let me start off by saying I was a little worried about how it would turn out. I had heared about some of the rehearsals and craziness and so I was going in there tonight will low expectations. For those of you who know me (and Jason) we tend to be very critical of fine arts and productions if they are not done well. I can honestly say I was blown away! We both were! Not just by Bonnie and her performance (which was amazing!!) but by the entire cast! Really! Bonnie was spectacular. This was her first time being in a musical (other than when she was 6) and it was definately the first time she was a lead role. I am so proud of her and her hard work. Someone asked me if I had helped her, and I was proud to say this time, I had not. Bonnie did this all on her own! WOW! There were several people from church who came to support her, several of mine and Jason's friends, and who could forget our family. Both of which traveled all the way from New Mexico to see her debut! This was a long journey for them, and Bonnie was really excited to have Gradma and Meme's (Grammy) there. Thank you for your sacrifice! If you missed this show, I would like to encourage you to drop whatever you are doing tomorrow night (Friday) at 7pm for ONLY 45 minutes and come see the show! Really-I mean it-you won't regret it!
Well, Jason is asleep (hence the reason for the wordy post), getting his beauty sleep for his big day tomorrow! He is graduating from graduate school! This is a HUGE accomplishment! This does not happen everyday-I mean this is monumental! It's not everyday someone in your family graduates! We are so proud of him expecially since he continued in school through all of our fall outs, and through having two new members of the family added to our home last year. He is a great man and deserves the world. I could not be more blessed and proud of him. Please send him your love tomorrow and a short little prayer! HE DID IT!!!! Oh, yeah-party at our house Saturday 5pm. Be there-or be square! : )
Ok, well I think I better give it a rest. I'm not even sure how many of you will actually have finished reading this entire blog byt the time I finish typing! ; )
